Do Artists Need To Be On Social Media

Well, no. I stepped away from all my social media platforms and woke up the next day feeling reborn. Haha yes that sounds a bit much, but it's true.

I think it really depends on you personally. Me? I don't really have social media in my personal life so it was just not for me. Will I lose some followers? Indeed. (Though, come to think of it, many of the people who found me on Instagram would tell me that they'd seen my work either in consignment stores or met me vending at an event. I really treasure these connections guys, thanks.)

In the end I realized that I could make much better content if I just had my own corner on the internet, away from the noise and competition. There is still so much room for me to grow in my art and storytelling.

(Above is another Portland Harbor piece I did recently.)

I plan to upload my work in progress shots here, post my Inktober pieces and sort of reflect on how I integrate my Buddhist practice into my life and work.

So, glad you found me here :) I'll post again soon!
